Schrödinger's Demon, a conceptual piece for modular and Nord Drum

“I’d been reading a book about quantum mechanics, and this concept of Schrödinger's Cat. What I didn’t realize is that the book I was reading was actually a grimoire, so there were some occult elements contained within. In reading the work I may have unleashed Schrödinger's Demon, which began showing up during the performances, where it could only be warded off by the performance. Open your heart and let the darkness in.”

The core of this dark ambient work is a random element, a vibrating cat toy caged inside a prison cell, whose “floor” is the Nord Drum. As it skitters across the floor, it triggers the pads chaotically, sending Midi information to the modular system, causing various events to trigger.
